A great year so far for the Kata 3N1 was capped in fine style when the 3N1-30 was named ‘Best Camera Bag’ at the recent Gear of the Year 2009 Awards.

Now in its 24th year, the Gear of the Year Awards is hosted by Bauer, publisher of the UK’s leading photography magazines, Digital Photo and Practical Photography, as well as its new website www.photoanswers.co.uk.

All categories, other than retailer awards which are decided by reader votes, are debated and judged by a panel of experts from the publisher’s specialist technology journalists and invited experts from the world of retail.

Up against stern competition from Lowepro, Tamrac and other brands like Think Tank, Kata’s 3N1-30 came out top. 

“It is great to be recognised with such a prestigious award,” said Kata product manager Andy Bennett.

“While the product had to be good to win the vote, this win is also a massive reflection of the efforts Bogen Imaging [distributors of Kata in the UK] have made, from web, customer service, shipping/logistics and sales….without any one part, the product would not have been placed in so many hands so as to get the votes.”
